On 9 July 2025 the executive committees of the Da Nang and Quang Nam tourism associations met and agreed to merge into a single body named the Danang Tourism Association.

The meeting nominated Cao Tri Dung — previously chairman of the Da Nang association — as interim chairman of the merged organisation.

Mr Dung set out the reasoning for combining: “A single organisation will have a stronger voice and find it easier to propose policy, investment and joint promotion.”

Executive committees, standing boards, chapters and clubs on both sides remain in place for now. The association keeps two offices: its main office at the Ariyana International Convention Centre in Da Nang and a second one in Hoi An.

For international buyers the practical effect is simpler contact: the Da Nang — Hoi An — My Son product range now sits behind a single point of contact.
