With more than 150 international buyers, more than 400 domestic buyers and more than 300 service suppliers expected to take part, the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2026 (DITF 2026) is set to become one of the key travel trade networking events in Central Vietnam, helping move tourism promotion from image-building towards creating real business opportunities.
From 17 to 18 October 2026, at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, the Da Nang Tourism Association is holding the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2026 (DITF 2026) under the theme “Connecting Partners, Creating Future”.
The event is expected to bring together more than 300 sellers of tourism services, more than 150 international buyers and more than 400 domestic buyers, along with more than 1,500 delegates and attendees.
More than a showcase for new products and services, DITF 2026 is designed as a professional trade platform where hotels, resorts, airlines, travel companies, MICE organisers, destinations and technology companies can meet distribution partners face to face to expand their markets.
What sets DITF apart is that it places B2B networking at the centre, aiming for concrete results such as developing tour programmes, building routes, establishing commercial relationships and bringing visitors to Vietnam.
The DITF 2026 programme runs across four days, combining business meetings, thematic seminars and site inspections.
On 16 October, the Organising Committee welcomes the international buyer delegations and hosts a Welcome Dinner, opening a series of networking activities among partners.
On 17 October, the event opens its exhibition space presenting tourism products and services, alongside a thematic seminar on Da Nang tourism development and famtrip programmes for international buyers.
18 October is the centrepiece of the trade activities, with dedicated Business Matching sessions for domestic buyers in the morning and international buyers in the afternoon. Businesses will have the chance to work directly with partners, learn about market needs, present their products and discuss cooperation opportunities.
That evening, the Gala Dinner provides a space for delegates and partners to mingle and connect.
On 19 October, the buyer delegations continue to inspect products, services and destinations before the programme closes.
Combining B2B meetings with first-hand experience is expected to give partners a clearer understanding of Da Nang’s supply capacity, service quality and potential for tourism product development.
For many years, tourism promotion has often been measured by the number of trade fairs attended, media campaigns or destination awareness. However, as the market becomes ever more competitive, promotional effectiveness needs to be assessed more deeply – through the ability to convert partner contacts into contracts, sales programmes and actual visitor numbers.
This is precisely the direction DITF 2026 is pursuing.
Instead of simply taking Da Nang’s image to international markets, the event enables international partners to come to Da Nang themselves, meet businesses, inspect accommodation, experience products and look for business opportunities.
For local tourism businesses, this is a chance to access international distribution systems right at the destination, reduce the cost of finding partners and expand their cooperation networks.
In particular, with its advantage of linking beach tourism, resort stays, MICE, culture, heritage and the rich range of tourism products across Central Vietnam, Da Nang is well placed to develop multi-destination programmes, extend length of stay and increase visitor spending.
DITF therefore serves not only the Da Nang market but also opens up cooperation opportunities for tourism businesses nationwide.
Speaking about the event’s direction, Mr Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, emphasised:
“We hope DITF will be not only a place where businesses meet, present products or promote destinations, but, more importantly, a place that creates connections capable of turning into cooperation opportunities and real business value.
In a constantly changing tourism market, businesses need to be more proactive in understanding the needs of each market, improving product quality and developing competitive experiences. To achieve that, there must be close connections between destinations, service suppliers, distributors and international partners.
Through DITF 2026, the Da Nang Tourism Association hopes to work with the business community to expand cooperation networks, strengthen market linkages and make a practical contribution to the development of tourism in Da Nang and in Vietnam as a whole.”
DITF’s development also reflects the increasingly proactive role that associations and the business community play in organising tourism promotion.
By connecting accommodation, travel, aviation, food and beverage and technology businesses, DITF aims to build a cooperation ecosystem in which each business not only promotes its own products but also helps build the shared competitiveness of the destination.
The success of a trade event lies not only in the number of attendees but, more importantly, in the cooperation programmes that are formed, the products brought to market and the visitors that can be attracted in the coming tourism seasons.
With this direction, DITF 2026 is expected to further affirm Da Nang’s position as a hub for international travel trade networking, while helping drive the shift from promotional marketing to revenue-generating promotion, improving business performance and developing sustainable tourism.
