Da Nang, August 3, 2026 – The Da Nang Tourism Association held an expanded Standing Committee meeting on the afternoon of August 3, bringing together members of the Standing Committee, leaders of its affiliated associations and clubs, and representatives of relevant organizations to review and finalize preparations for DITF – Danang International Tourism Festival 2026. The international tourism promotion event is scheduled to take place from October 16–19, 2026, at the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang.

During the meeting, delegates agreed on the event’s official name, DITF – Danang International Tourism Festival, together with the tagline “Connecting Partners, Creating Future” and the official website, www.ditf.vn.

DITF is envisioned as an annual flagship event of the Da Nang Tourism Association, with the ambition of becoming one of Vietnam’s and the region’s most reputable platforms for tourism trade connectivity and business cooperation.
The Organizing Committee also finalized the overall program framework, organizational structure, and responsibilities of each subcommittee. Specific duties were assigned to affiliated associations and clubs in mobilizing business participation, welcoming delegates, communications, organizing destination surveys, and facilitating business networking activities.
Around 120 International Buyers and More Than 200 Domestic Buyers Expected
According to the plan, DITF 2026 is expected to welcome approximately 120 international buyers, with a particular focus on new and high-potential source markets alongside Da Nang’s traditional tourism markets.
The event will also bring together more than 200 domestic buyers, including leading travel companies from across Vietnam.
During the festival, participating buyers will join a three-night destination familiarization program, experiencing Da Nang’s hotels, resorts, tourist attractions, tourism products, and distinctive dining venues.
The program is designed to provide local businesses with opportunities to showcase their products and services directly to potential partners while creating new possibilities for commercial cooperation.
Reinventing the FAM Trip Experience
One of the key topics receiving particular attention at the meeting was the innovation of the event’s FAM Trip program.
In line with current international travel industry trends, buyers today are no longer simply looking for destination information. Increasingly, they want to personally experience new tourism products, distinctive travel concepts, accommodation services, gastronomy, entertainment, and destination experiences that differentiate one market from another.
For this reason, the Organizing Committee will continue to expand the program with more in-depth experiential activities specifically designed for different source markets and buyer segments.
The objective is to enable buyers to gain a deeper and more authentic understanding of Da Nang’s tourism offerings while creating more meaningful connections between suppliers and potential business partners.
Expanding Connections with OTAs, Airlines and Tourism Technology Partners
In addition to B2B networking programs, DITF 2026 will broaden participation from online travel agencies (OTAs), airlines, tourism technology companies and strategic partners.
Their involvement is expected to strengthen the international buyer network, help Da Nang access additional source markets, and create new momentum for the development of direct air routes to the city.
By bringing together destinations, travel companies, airlines, technology platforms and distribution partners within a single event, DITF aims to create an increasingly comprehensive ecosystem for tourism cooperation.
Industry Forums Addressing the Future of Tourism
Alongside business networking activities, DITF 2026 will feature a series of thematic forums and seminars organized in collaboration among the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the Da Nang Tourism Association, and leading Vietnamese and international experts.
Discussion sessions will focus on emerging trends shaping the tourism industry, including tourism product development, digital transformation, aviation, destination marketing, sustainable tourism, and solutions tailored to the evolving needs of both international and domestic visitor markets.
The forums are expected to provide tourism businesses and destinations with practical insights into changing consumer behavior, emerging technologies and new opportunities in the global tourism landscape.
Building an Annual Platform for Vietnam’s Tourism Industry
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, emphasized:
“DITF is not intended to be merely a tourism promotion event for Da Nang. Our ambition is to develop it into an annual connectivity platform for Vietnam’s tourism industry. Da Nang will serve as a meeting point where destinations, businesses, airlines, OTA platforms and international partners can come together, exchange ideas, showcase tourism products and expand business cooperation.”
He also noted that amid rapidly changing tourism markets, improving the quality of participating buyers and continuously innovating destination experience programs will be crucial to the event’s success.
“Today’s buyers do not simply attend events to meet potential partners; they also want to experience the products themselves. DITF will therefore continue to invest strongly in destination familiarization programs, introducing new tourism products from Da Nang and other destinations and creating more opportunities for businesses to establish meaningful and long-term partnerships.”
Toward a National and International Tourism Marketplace
According to the long-term vision of the Da Nang Tourism Association, DITF – Danang International Tourism Festival will gradually evolve into an annual tourism gathering connecting buyers and sellers from destinations across Vietnam.
The event aims to contribute to promoting Vietnam’s tourism image internationally, strengthening connections among destinations, businesses and global partners, while enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism industry in the global marketplace.
With the message “Connecting Partners, Creating Future,” DITF 2026 is expected to become one of Vietnam’s leading tourism trade promotion events in terms of both scale and quality.
Through DITF, Da Nang seeks to further reinforce its position as a leading tourism and MICE destination, as well as an important hub for international connectivity in Central Vietnam and across the country.

On the morning of September 3, 2026, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Tourism Association held a working session with the Organizing Committee of DITF – Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2026 to review progress and agree on key priorities during the final preparation phase for the event.
