As one of the first businesses in Da Nang to serve as a pilot venue for the Basal Pay solution under a controlled testing framework, Furama Resort Danang continues to affirm its pioneering spirit of innovation, bringing the needs of international travellers into the application of financial technology in tourism services.

Digital transformation is reaching more and more aspects of the travel journey, from searching for information and booking rooms to experiencing and using services at the destination. In this process, digital financial services are opening up new approaches for Da Nang's tourism and hospitality sector, aiming for convenient transactions and the ability to meet the increasingly diverse spending habits of international visitors.
On 16 October 2026, at the workshop “Crypto-Asset Sandbox: A New Growth Driver for Da Nang's Digital Tourism”, Furama Resort Danang signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation related to the Basal Pay solution. The signing marks the concrete involvement of a resort business in connecting financial technology with a real-world service environment, within the scope of a controlled pilot.

For international travellers, a convenient holiday is made up of many details: easy access to information, choosing the right services, receiving timely support and completing transactions clearly and smoothly. Each of these experiences helps shape their impression of the quality of service and the friendliness of the destination.
Welcoming and serving international guests directly, Furama Resort Danang is well placed to observe these needs in its day-to-day operations. Differences between markets in technology habits, payment methods and support needs require the business to keep updating its approach while maintaining service quality.
Taking part early as a Basal Pay pilot venue reflects Furama Resort Danang's proactive response to these changes. According to the presentation at the workshop, the solution is designed to help international visitors convert legal digital assets into Vietnamese dong to pay for services at the destination. As a pilot venue, Furama Resort Danang helps bring the solution closer to real-world use, creating a basis for gathering feedback and assessing its suitability in the course of serving guests.

When a new application enters a hotel environment, it needs to be considered across the entire service process. Convenience for users must go hand in hand with the team's ability to coordinate, clear support procedures and a good fit with operations.
This is also the value that accommodation businesses can contribute to technology pilots. Experience in dealing with guests helps identify the situations a solution must handle, from how to guide users to resolving issues as they arise. Such feedback provides the basis for the parties to continue refining the solution within the permitted scope.
At the workshop's roundtable discussion, Mr Le Van Tung, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accountant of Bac My An Tourist Area Joint Stock Company, joined representatives from the technology and digital asset sectors in the exchange. Participation from the financial management perspective of a tourism business helped link the innovation story to the concrete requirements of business operations and guest service.
For Furama Resort Danang, its pioneering role is therefore expressed both through building partnerships and through taking part in professional dialogue. Bringing operational experience into these discussions helps the business approach technology more proactively, while helping to shape applications of practical value for the hotel industry.

The quality of digital tourism is felt most clearly when visitors can use services more easily and businesses can serve them more efficiently. To achieve this, innovation requires coordination between technology developers and the businesses that welcome guests directly.
Furama Resort Danang's participation in the pilot creates an opportunity to connect both sides of this process. Visitor needs are approached from real-world practice, while the technology solution gains more context for assessing its convenience and ability to meet service requirements. Implementation will need to comply with the scope and conditions of the pilot and the guidance of the competent authorities.
At the Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, which brings together resort, dining and convention activities, the guest experience is always tied to a wide range of service needs. This is the setting in which the significance of improvements that can deliver seamless convenience throughout the journey – from staying to exploring and enjoying the destination – becomes clear.

By joining the pilot early, Furama Resort Danang continues to demonstrate an innovation strategy tied to service quality. The Memorandum of Understanding is a starting point for the business and its partners to bring new ideas into real-world evaluation, with the visitor experience at the centre.
The proactive stance of hotel businesses also helps lay the groundwork for the next step in Da Nang's tourism. When technology is developed from real needs and assessed within an appropriate framework, new services can gradually contribute to a destination that is convenient, modern and better able to meet the expectations of international visitors.
